Usarray, which is part of the earthscope experiment, is a 15year program to place a dense network of permanent and portable seismographs across the continental united states. The goal of the gsn is to deploy 128 permanent seismic recording stations uniformly over the earths surface. These nodes work together to insure the smooth flow of gsn and passcal data from the stations to the seismological research community. Users can also filter data, fit a seismogram to travel time curves, triangulate event epicenters on a globe, estimate event magnitudes, and generate images.
